I offer a variety of services to help you with your North Carolina heritage structure.
At this time, these services are available primarily to those with properties in Moore, Hoke, Lee, and Cumberland counties.
Building Review
Initial 90-minute on-site walkthrough with owners
Report includes an overview of history of the structure
Identification of key character-defining interior and exterior features and their current conditions
Outline of the key items needing to be addressed and a plan of action going forward
A more in-depth house history is available for an additional fee
Design Assistance
Provide clients with design concepts to meet their needs while remaining aware of budgets, historic preservation guidelines, construction timelines, and more.

Certificate of Approporiateness Consultation
For property owners with a project design subject to HPC/HDC approval
Provide guidance on how a project can best meet District Design Standards
Serve as owner representative for any required HPC/HDC meetings

Historic Tax Credit Assistance - Income-producing
Consulting with architects/contractors to produce plans in compliance with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation
Completing Parts A & B of the Historic Tax Credit Application
conducting frequent site visits
serving as the project liaison with the State Historic Preservation Office.
Historic Tax Credit Assistance - Non income-producing
Consulting with architects/contractors to produce plans in compliance with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation
Completing Parts 1, 2 & 3 of the Historic Tax Credit Application
